Between 1891-1924 D'arcy Island, off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, was prison to a handful of Chinese men and one woman, all with leprosy. Using dramatizations and interviews with historical, medical and archaeological experts, the film reveals the extent of the inhumane, racist and negligent policies of the BC government in its treatment toward the Chinese people who were abandoned there.
