Divider A tongue-in-cheeks riff on BLADE RUNNER that fantasizes a cyber-future where your best orgasms can be relived at the pop of a pill, I.K.U. is the porn of tomorrow. Thanks to director Shu Lea Cheang (FRESH KILL), I.K.U. melts down the gender restrictions of the form’s male tradition and democratizes the pleasure zones for everyone. Computer graphics lend candy sheen to the exploits of Reiko, a virtual sex machine programmed to attain higher knowledge through fucking. With bodily contours all the plotlines you need to grasp, join Reiko as she conducts nocturnal missions anywhere she pleases, meaning everywhere. Fists of legend appear in the flesh. Data retrieval dildos pay homage to David Cronenberg. Two drag queens enjoying themselves in a convertible put a new spin on autoeroticism. Money shots pay off in geysers and bubblegum imperils cunnilingus. Sexuality is celebrated in all its varieties. The only regret the next morning is knowing that there’s a director’s cut of I.K.U. out there even more fabulous than this version.
