| Somei Yoshino Taiko Ensemble Headlines Satsuki Arts Festival and Bazaar Please join us for the major fund-raiser of the Berkeley Buddhist Temple at 2121 Channing Way in Berkeley, Saturday, May 17 from 4 PM to 9 PM and Sunday, May 18 from 12 noon to 7 PM. The free entertainment will be from 12 noon to 5 PM on May 18. Somei Yoshino Taiko Ensemble (SYTE), which was founded in 1999, goes beyond the sounds of the taiko drum to use music, theater and dance as a medium to express the human condition as it relates to its environment, community and its future. The ensemble has toured throughout California and nationally and has performed at many major music and performing arts venues including Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque, N.M., Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.
